Former activist of Assam Agitation Prodip Hazarika passes away

GAURISAGAR: Prodip Hazarika, a resident of Gaurisagar Na Khana Bez Gaon , retired headmaster of Namdang Pavojan LP School and a senior AGP leader, and former activist of the Assam Agitation passed away on Monday morning due to diabetes. He was 63.

He was the president of AGP Mumai Tamuly Regional Committee and worked devotedly for the party. He was also actively associated with various social organizations. He performed Gayan Bayan and was widely known as a perfect Bayan. His sudden demise was widely mourned in Gaurisagar and Charing.

Amguri MLA Prodip Hazarika, Mumai Tamuligaon panchayat president Songeeta Borgohain, AGP Amguri Bidhan Parishad, AGP Mumai Tamuli and Charing regional committees, Charing gaon panchayat president Diganta Gogoi and various organizations and individuals condoled his demise. He is survived by his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives.
