Former president of Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha Bhabani Changkakati passes away

DOOMDOOMA: Bhabani Changkakati, former president of Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha (TZXX), passed away at a private hospital at Dibrugarh on Wednesday. He was 77 and is survived by his wife and three married daughters.

He retired from Tongona High School and lived at Kakapather. He was also the former president of Kakapather Sangeet Vidyalaya. His last rites were performed at Dibrugarh on Wednesday. The flag of Axam Xahitya Xabha was kept half mast at the district office of TZXX at Makum and at the offices of its various branches for the day. His death cast a pall of gloom at Kakapather and his birthplace Amolapatty, Sivsagar and was widely mourned by various organizations, including Tinsukia Zila Xahitya Xabha, Kakapather branch, AXX, AJYCP and others.
