Former Principal of Jamuguri HSS Nirmal Saikia passes away

JAMUGURIHAT: Former Principal of Jamuguri Higher Secondary School, Nirmal Saikia (69) breathed last on Wednesday due to high pressure related ailment. Saikia had joined Jamuguri HS School as a subject teacher of Botany in 1974 and had taken charge as a Principal in 2004. He retired from service as Principal in 2011. An efficient administrator, ideal teacher and amiable Jamuguri HS School son, Saikia was a founder member of Jamugurihat branch of Natun Sahitya Parishad. He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives. His demise was widely mourned in Jamugurihat as well as his birth place, Tezpur.
