Former professor of English Padmashree Dr Temsula Ao remembered in Lakhimpur Commerce College

LAKHIMPUR: Eminent author, poet and former professor of English Padmashree Dr Temsula Ao was remembered by the Department of English of Lakhimpur Commerce College. A commemorative meeting on Friday was held at the college for that occassion which was chaired by Sazzad Hussain, HoD-English-cum-eminent columnist. The objective of the meeting was explained by Dr. Satya Nath Pegu, Assistant Professor in English. Dr. Harinee Patowary Das, Assistant Professor in English delivered a speech on life and works of Dr Ao who had passed away recently.

Rich tributes were paid to Dr Ao on that occasion by the faculties and students of the college. Dr. Rupjyoti Bhattacharya and Pankaj Lochan Das of the English department along with English Honours students attended the meeting. Faculties from Department of Assamese Tilak Chandra Deka, Achyut Kumar Gogoi, Dr Bibha Dutta and Mridushmita Hazarika also attended the tribute paying meeting.
