Former Vice-Principal of AMCH Dilip Kumar Patgiri Passes Away

DIBRUGARH: Former Head of the Department of Pediatrics and former Vice-Principal of Assam Medical College and Hospital, Prof. Dilip Kumar Patgiri is no more. He breathed his last at a local nursing home due to COVID on Saturday evening.

He was 73. Dr Patgiri is survived by three sons, besides his wife, family members, friends and admirers. Students, faculties and other staff of AMC&H condoled the death of Dr Patgiri and conveyed their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said, "Prof Patgiri played a pivotal role in strengthening the Medical Education system of the State. Dr Patgiri was a pioneer and father figure for the pediatric community in Assam." Dr Sarma paid his deep condolence to the departed soul.
