Foundation day of Mangalbodh Jagaran Kendra celebrated

Mangalbodh Jagaran Kendra, a unique public institution of Lakhimpur working for the enhancement of the humanity, nature, education, health, literature and education observed its foundation day. Simultaneously, the institution observed the Buddha Purnima and Goraksha Akshay Jayanti in the same event.

LAKHIMPUR: Mangalbodh Jagaran Kendra, a unique public institution of Lakhimpur working for the enhancement of the humanity, nature, education, health, literature and education observed its foundation day on Thursday. Simultaneously, the institution observed the Buddha Purnima and Goraksha Akshay Jayanti in the same event.

The event was held at North Lakhimpur Town MV School premises, located at Panindra Road. It was chaired by writer Ganesh Bhuyan. The agenda of the event began with lighting of the ceremonial lamps by writer-poet Bhagyalakhi Deka. The objective of the event was explained by Ambedkar Fellowship awardee, writer Prasanta Kumar Nath who also threw light upon the life and philosophy of Goutam Buddha, significance of the Goraksha Akshay Jayanti and Yoga philosophy of Mahayogi Goraksha Nath.

The event was held under the management of Mangalamoy Patrika editor Sanjib Upadhyay. In the same event, an anthology of poems, named ‘Nijan Nakshatrar Tez Aru Barna’ composed by Jiten Baruah, a poet and the Director of the Mangalbodh Jagaran Kendra, was ceremonially released by noted social worker Uday Sankar Hazarika. Writer Narayan Baruah, Purvanchal Xahitya Xabha former president Suren Hazarika, Uttar Lakhimpur Sakha Xahitya Xabha former secretary-cum-ptofessor Tilak Deka, music director Mridul Baruah, poet Golap Dihingia, singer Labanya Saikia, writers Dipali Chetia Mazumder, Sweetshree Borah Mohan, Jahnabi Saikia Baruah, Chandan Mazumder were among those who were present at the event.
