Foundation Day of Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh at Kalamandir premises

JAGIROAD: The 19th foundation day of the Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Jagiroad Sakha was observed on Sunday at the Kalamandir premises. The foundation day programme began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by founder president Chitralekha Bora followed by a chorus performed by the members of the Samity.

Addressing the open session chaired by president of Jagiroad Sakha Samity, Dibya Ahom Deka, appointed speaker Dipali Bora, who is the former Principal of Jagi HS School, said that women had been mistreated since the Ramayana era but organizations like the Lekhika Samroh Samity could make women aware about how to protest against any ill-treatment.

She also highlighted about the legal aspects which help protect the rights of women.
