Founder of Patanjali Yog Samiti Drona Chetry passes away in Udalguri

UDALGURI: Drona Chetry (Regmi), one of the founder of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Bharat Swabhiman and Hamro Swabhiman in Assam passed away at the age of 69. He was the founder secretary of Banderguri High School in 1986. He also acted on Samarendra Narayan Deb's film Aranya. In his active leadership the committees of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Bharat Swabhiman and Hamro Swabhiman were formed in Udalguri. A 10-day-long residential Yoga teachers training was also organized in Udalguri to boost the Yoga habit among the common people under his active leadership. Acharya Balakrishna first came to his home in 1992 and Baba Ramdev also lived in his house and practiced Ayurveda. Later in 2018, Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna came to Bhairabkunda and laid a foundation of Patanjali Ayurved Yoga and Hospital. His demise was condoled widely in Udalguri.
