Four arrested with drugs at Lurukihat in Golaghat

NUMALIGARH: Four persons have been arrested with ample amount of illicit drugs at Lurukihat in Golaghat, in an operation by Golaghat Police on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Officer-in-Charge of Golaghat Police Station apprehended the four accused and recovered the drugs from their possession. Golaghat Police sources said that with this arrest made they would continue to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs that negatively impact the communities. Police has identified the four accused as - Sahjahan Ali, Imran Ali, Ahidur Ali of Lurukihat and Haren Das of Morangi. Police sources added that they have been charged accordingly and will appear at the court. It is believed that the four accused have been involved in drug trafficking since a long time, said sources. The Golaghat Police also urged the people to contact them if they have any information regarding drug dealing.
