SILCHAR: Four dreaded dacoits were arrested from flood relief camps in Katigorah. Acting on a tip-off, Bihara police on Friday late night raided a relief camp and nabbed four dacoits. They were identified as Ali Akbar, Tazul Amin, Ashiqur Rahman and Abul Hossain. A police source said, a gang of dacoits forcefully stopped a car coming from Silchar at Burunga in Katigorah on Thursday night and robbed the passengers. The victims lodged a FIR with Bihara outpost.

Later police could learn that taking advantage of the prevailing flood situation, the gang had taken shelter in a relief camp. On Friday night police raided the camp and nabbed four of them. A lady passenger of the car identified the miscreants. This gang was active in this area for quite a long time. A source said, interrogation was on to nab the other miscreants of the gang.
