Four injured in clash over land dispute at Laharighat

MORIGAON: Four persons were injured following a land dispute at Laharighat on Tuesday morning. The clash between the two groups was over a plot of eight bigha land located on the bank of the water body of Patuwakata village under Barchala PS. In the clash, Asaful Haque, Safiruddin and Sahjahan Ali sustained serious injuries.

According to information, the injured persons were admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital and another person was admitted to Moirabari Hospital by the police. The land dispute was between Habez Ali’s family and Safiruddin’s family under Barchala PS. Police arrested two persons suspected to be involved in the clash between the two groups. Police also recovered a pistol with few live bullets from the incident site.
