Four persons test positive for COVID-19 in Barpeta district

BARPETA: Four persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Barpeta district on Wednesday.

Utpal Roychoudhury (38), son of Surendra Nath Roychoudhury, of Dakshinhati, Barpeta ward no. 4 tested positive. He works in a private company in Guwahati. His swab sample was collected at Capital Dispensary, Last Gate, Dispur on June 25. He arrived home on June 27 at night and was under home quarantine. He was admitted at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) on Wednesday.

The other three persons who tested positive are Eman Ali of village Kheli, Aminul Haque of Belbari Pathar and Majidul Islam of Sarkarpara. Eman and Aminul were at Garaliya ME School quarantine centre and Majidul Islam was at the Mandia Anchalik College quarantine centre. All three were also admitted in FAAMCH.
