Fraternal twin Amrutaa & Akshyaa toppers of Assam 12th Board CBSE Exam

GUWAHATI: They moved to Guwahati in Assam six months before their 12th Board CBSE Examinations. They were studying in South Delhi's Ambience Public School in Class 12 Science Stream when Akshyaa Vibho and Amrutaa Vibho had to shift to Guwahati due to transfer of their father. Since theirs is a nuclear family, they were comfortable with both their parents at one place. Today they both are toppers in their 12th Board Examinations. Amrutaa, the elder twin, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science has secured 92% in aggregate while Akshyaa with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology has secured 94% in overall score. Amrutaa considered to be whizzed kid in Mathematics was disappointed as her examination of Computer Science was cancelled and the CBSE awarded her marks based on the best three papers, stated a press release.

Amrutaa's marks in Maths is 95 percent. She wants to pursue Aerospace Engineering. Akshyaa who wants to pursue Medical has scored 95 percent in Biology.

But the best part about this fraternal twins is that they are not only toppers in their academics but are very proficient in Music also. Akshyaa is training in Hindustani Vocal for the last 12 years under Pandit Sitanshu Choudhury of the Rampur Sasahwan Gharana. She also plays the Keyboard for which she is training from Trinity College, London under Casio Ambassador Ranjit Ahuja.

Amrutaa is a drummer who is pursuing the course from Trinity College, London under Casio Ambassador Ranjit Ahuja. She is also pursuing Vocal percussion under Carnatic Rhythm known as 'Konnakkol' under eminent rhythmist Kumbakonam Sri N.Padnabham.

The twin sisters rocked the Annual Day function of South Point School, Guwahati from where they topped CBSE 12th Board Examinations.

Earlier the duo topped in their school during their 10th Board CBSE Examinations with Akshyaa scoring 96 percent in Science and Amrutaa scoring 98 percent in Mathematics from the Pinnacle School, Panch Sheel Enclave, New Delhi.
