SARUPATHAR: A free vaccination camp was conducted by MYM (Marwari Yuva Manch) in Sarupathar Hanuman Mandir campus under Dhansiri Subdivision in Golaghat district on Saturday.
A total of 200 persons were given coupons and among those 50 to 70 coupons were reserved for the senior citizens to avail themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 at the camp, informed volunteers.
MYM president Anshuman Sharma said, "The motive of vaccination camp is to provide the COVID-19 vaccine especially to the cart pullers, rickshaw-wallahs, physically handicapped persons and all those who don't know how to register themselves for the online vaccination process. The vaccination drive was undertaken following all COVID-19 protocols."
Sharma also thanked the civil and police administration, and the PHC department for their cooperation in carrying out the vaccination drive.
Mentionably, the executive committee of the MYM was formed on June 29 with advisor Deepak Bagaria, Rinku Todi and Dinesh Bhilwaria, Anshuman Sharma as president, Siddhant Agarwal as secretary and Adarsh Agarwal as treasurer. The committee also has a joint secretary, cultural secretary, sports secretary, social secretary, and a social media coordinator.
TINSUKIA: A free COVID vaccination programme was organized at Laipuli Indira Gandhi High School on the outskirts of Tinsukia on Friday under the aegis of Tinsukia district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad in collaboration with Samprity Sports Academy and NHM Tinsukia.
A total of 160 persons were vaccinated. Organized under supervision of Pranjal Neog, general secretary of the Parishad, the programme was assisted by health workers from Hapjan PHC, Anganwadi workers and others.
