DIBRUGARH: The Health & Hygiene Committee of DHSK College, in collaboration with Apeksha Hospital, successfully organized a free eye camp and a dental check-up with an Ergonomics session on Saturday at Sankardeva Sabahakakhya, DHSK College. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout and proved to be highly beneficial for the college community. The programme commenced with a brief introduction by Dr. Lamkholal Doungel, Head of the Department of Political Science and Joint Convenor of the Health and Hygiene Committee of DHSK College.
Dr Doungel welcomed the attendees and provided an overview of the event. The Principal of the College, Dr. Sashikanta Saikia, expressed his gratitude for organizing the health camp and extended his appreciation to the Health and Hygiene Committee for their efforts. Dr. Saikia emphasized the importance of regular free health check-ups and acknowledged the prevalent eye-related issues due to excessive use of mobiles and laptops in today’s digital age.
Dr PD Goswami, vice principal of the college, also addressed the audience and expressed his gratitude to the organizers and Apeksha Hospital. He stressed the significance of establishing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apeksha Hospital for future collaborations.
The team members from Apeksha Hospital were formally felicitated by the members of the Health and Hygiene Committee, namely, Anjumoni Phukan, Urmilla Ramsiary, and Jyotimonjuri.
