Free spectacles distributed at ASHA Griha seminar hall in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The school children detected with Refractive Error (RE) were distributed free spectacles under NHM's Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) held at ASHA Griha seminar hall at Tinsukia on Monday, synchronizing with observance of International Persons with Disabilities Day. Organized by Tinsukia District Health Society, in collaboration with National Programme for Control Blindness (NPCB) and Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA), a total number 15 spectacles were distributed in presence of Dr Altaf Ahmed, Joint DHS, Dr Jayanta Bhattacharjee, SDM&HO (RBSK), Tinsukia, along with officials from education department. The screening process will continue on a regular basis related to any ailment for a month.
