Freshers’ Social of English Department of Lakhimpur Commerce College held

LAKHIMPUR: The Freshers’ Social of the English Department of Lakhimpur Commerce College was held on Friday afternoon.

A function was organized for that occasion at 3:00 pm at the seminar hall of college which was chaired by Professor Sazzad Hussain, Head of the English department. The objective of the meeting was explained by Jajan Biswas of BA III Semester of the department. Principal of the college Dr. Lohit Hazarika, senior professors Purabi Dutta Hazarika, Dr. Dadul Rajkonwar, Coordinator, IQAC, Runjun Baruah, Librarian of the college attended the function as invited guests. Various cultural programmes and felicitation of newly-inducted students were also organized on that occasion. Dr. Harini Patwary Das and Professor Pankaj Lochan Das of the department rendered songs in that programme while librarian Runjun Baruah recited a poem
