Full-fledged executive body of Lakhimpur Zila Xahitya Xabha formed

LAKHIMPUR: The full-fledged executive body of the Lakhimpur Zila Xahitya Xabha for the 2023-2025 session has been formed following the constitution of the Axam Xahitya Xabha.

The body was formed on Wednesday in the meeting held at Lakhi Bilas Baruah Bhavan, the permanent office of the Lakhimpur Zila Xahitya Xabha, located at North Lakhimpur town, with newly-elected president Umananda Baruah, vice-president Sanjib Upadhyay, secretary Naba Kamal Borah outgoing president Bipul Sarmah Baruah, outgoing vice-president Guna Bhuyan.

In the meeting, the full-fledged body was formed with Sanjib Borah and Pallabi Borah Neog as assistant secretaries, Bharat Pandey as treasurer, and Prasanta Kumar Modak as magazine editor. All delegates representing the Sakha Xahitya Xabha under the Lakhimpur Zila Xahitya Xabha will be the executive members of the executive committee. In addition, six persons were selected as specially invited members while 13 persons were selected as nominated members and 10 persons were selected as invited members. Satyajit Dutta, Dibyajyoti Hazarika and Ajanta Sarmah Baruah were appointed as legal advisers of the Lakhimpur Zila Xahitya Xabha.
