Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra Launched in Dhakuakhana LAC, Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Gandhi Sankalpa Yatra, a nationwide programme initiated by the BJP-led Union Government in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and to ensure a clean and plastic-free environment, was launched in Dhakuakhana LAC on Saturday.

Dhakaukhana MLA and State P&RD Minister Naba Kumar Doley and Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah took part in the rally which was taken out from the Dhakuakhana district BJP unit office premises. Almost 2,000 people along with BJP activists and the dignitaries of the Dhakuakhana, Ghilamora and Boginadi Mandal BJP committees participated in the rally. Addressing the gathering, the minister and the MP appealed to all to cooperate in building a peaceful, prosperous and clean State and a nation following the noble ideology of Mahatma Gandhi.
