General Election Observer Brundaban Behera visits Majuli for firsthand knowledge

MAJULI: The General Election Observer, appointed by the ECI for the No. 14 Lakhimpur HPC, Brundaban Behera on Wednesday visited Majuli district to have firsthand knowledge of the prevailing situations and took stock of the election preparedness of the district election department in the river island district.

The Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Debaprasad Misra, accompanied by the SP Majuli Hitesh Ch. Ray, ADCs Chinmoy Nath & Utpal Doley and Election Officer, Majuli Morgen Narah, received and extended a warm welcome to the General Election Observer at the circuit house, Garamur. The Observer, Behera had an interaction with the top officials of Majuli district administration, including district election department and district police department at the circuit house. The DC Majuli cum District Election Officer Misra briefed him about the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha Election-2019 in the No. 99 (ST) Majuli LAC under No. 14 Lakhimpur HPC, stated a press release.
