Goalpara improves as aspirational district among north-eastern regional districts

GOALPARA: The Goalpara district has improved its 'composite score' as an aspirational district among the north-eastern regional districts.

It has improved its previous performance and occupied 16th position by jumping from 64th position. This was revealed in a press release circulated on Monday by the Goalpara district administration.

DoNER minister Jitendra Singh, through a video conference on Monday with the Deputy Commissioners of the aspirational districts, appreciated the effort of the Goalpara district administration in its fight against COVID-19 while dealing at the same time with the recent flash floods.

The DoNER minister also lavished praise upon Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka for her pioneering role in leading the district from the front. Goalpara district is at present in the 14th position in NITI Ayog's delta rank on education.
