Goalpara Law students demand justice for UP gang rape victim

GOALPARA: The Goalpara Law College committee of the All Assam Law Students' Association (AALSA) on Saturday staged demonstration in its Bhalukdubi College campus against the horrific gang rape by miscreants and subsequent cremation of a Dalit girl by police in Uttar Pradesh.

The agitation programme was titled as 'Raped by devils, burnt to ashes by law'. Students present on the occasion paid floral tributes at the portrait of the deceased. The association also condemned the incident and demanded justice for the victim. In a similar programme on Friday, the safai workers of the Goalpara Municipality Board staged protest in Goalpara town demanding justice for the poor victim.
