BISWANATH CHARIALI: Gohpur District High School Teachers' Association has urged the State Education Minister to make arrangements for the appointment of permanent headmasters in the high schools of the State where in-charge headmasters have been running the schools.

The association has sent a memorandum signed by its president Jagadish Sharma and general secretary Ranjit Saikia to the State Education Minister in this respect through an e-mail. The teachers' body claimed that a good number of high schools in the State were being run by in-charge headmasters for long leading to much inconvenience in the management of the schools which also affects the students' fraternity. The Education Minister was urged to resolve the issue in the greater interest of the schools and the students, as well.
