Golaghat Commerce College awarded grade 'A' by NAAC

GOLAGHAT: A peer team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited Golaghat Commerce College on January 11 and January 12, 2023, and evaluated all aspects of the college.

The team, which was led by Dr Gangadhar Panda, Vice-Chancellor of Kolhan University, Jharkhand and included members Dr Rangappa KB, Professor at Devangere University in Karnataka, and Dr Dipannita Chakraborty, former Principal of Bir Bikram College in Tripura, interacted with staff, staff, students, president and members of the college governing body, Dibrugarh University representatives, ADC of Golaghat, Dr Sangita Borthakur, alumni, guardians and well-wishers.

All the stakeholders wholeheartedly participated in the two-day assessment process. The resource persons applauded the students' cultural performances as well as the postgraduate college's overall activities. At the exit meeting held on January 12, the team handed over the assessment report to the Principal, Dr Utpal Sarma and the Coordinator of IQAC, Dr Pranjal Pratim Dutta.

Ever since the visit, the entire college family had been anticipating the outcome. Finally, on January 17, the head office of NAAC at Bengaluru awarded grade A to the college with 3.3.12 CGPA. The entire Golaghat Commerce College fraternity, as well as the people of Golaghat, are taking delight in the college's accomplishment. The Principal, Dr Utpal Sarma has expressed gratitude to everyone on the occasion.
