Golaghat district administration published draft electoral roll for 2020

GOLAGHAT: The Golaghat district administration published the draft electoral roll for the year 2020 of 95 Golaghat and 96 Khumtai LAC on Monday.

In a press statement by DIPRO, Golaghat, it was stated that in this context a meeting was held under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Dhiren Hazarika. In presence of delegates of various political parties, Election Officer Kokila Gogoi said that there was a total of 3,27,955 voters in the Golaghat election district. In 95 Golaghat LAC, the total number of voters is 1,95,542 where 98,778 are male voters and 96,764 are female voters. Similarly, in 96 Khumtai LAC the total number of voters is 1,32,413 where 66,969 are male voters and 65,443 are female voters. There has been an increase of 2,716 new voters in the draft electoral roll.

The district administration appealed to the general public that if there be any claims for the inclusion of names, correction, and deletion in the electoral rolls or any objections to the inclusion of names or any objections to particulars in any entry, these should be lodged on or before January 22, 2020. The final voter roll will be published on February 14, 2020.
