GOLAGHAT: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Golaghat governing board meet held. Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Golaghat organized its governing board (GB) meeting on Thursday at the conference hall of the District Agriculture Office under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Damodar Barman, ACS. All the line departmental heads and officers of the district Veterinary, Fishery, Industry, Marketing Board, Lead District (Bank) Manager, Chief Scientist of Sugarcane & Medicinal Plant Research Station, Buralikson, Social activists, Block Technology Manager of Dergaon Development Block, Accountant of ATMA, Golaghat, FPCs representatives, Input Dealers and a host of Progressive farmers were present in the meeting.

In the meeting ATMA’s Deputy Project Director, Tapan Kumar Mahanta presented the last four years’ activities performed by ATMA in the Golaghat district with powerpoint presentation and got applause from the members.

Earlier in the meeting, the District Agriculture Officer, Golaghat, Ranjit Kr. Sarmah welcomed the members and the Assistant Director of Agriculture and District Nodal Officer of World Bank-funded APART Project Ranjan Baruah spoke about the previous and on-going activities of the ATMA Scheme. The Additional Deputy Commissioner Damodar Barman encouraged the farmers to progress in various fields and the administrative officer further encouraged the allied departments to work together effectively, and also encouraged them to take up the new technology for better productivity. He urged all specialists under ATMA and heads and officers of allied departments to put their efforts towards food production and ensure food security to all. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Director of Agriculture and District Nodal Officer of APART Project Ranjan Baruah, stated a press release.
