Government has always emphasized women empowerment, says Dr Jitendra Singh

RANGIA: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-government has always emphasized on women empowerment and that is why the government has implemented several schemes for the benefit of women, especially the Ujjwala scheme ( free LPG to women)," said DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in the Mahila Samaroh held at Rangia Higher Secondary School Field on Tuesday.

The Samaroh was inaugurated by minister Bhabesh Kalita by lighting a lamp. MP of Mangaldai Constituency, Dilip Saikia, Suman Haripriya, MLA of Hajo constituency, Kailash Karthik N, Kamrup Deputy Commissioner, Swapneel Paul, SDO Civil Rangia and other dignitaries were present in the programme. DoNER Minister Dr Singh described the different schemes sanctioned by the Central Government for the uplift of the women of the country. He also distributed Scooty to nine Jeevika Sathis and Rs. 50,000 to SHGs under the Kanaklata Sabalikaran scheme.
