RANGIA: A grand statue of Maa Durga was installed at the Sarba Dharma Prathana Sthal ( all religion prayer hall ) of SSB 24 Bn camp at Hahara near Rangia on Thursday in presence of Hrishikesh Sarma, Commandant of SSB 24 Bn, at a function. During the programme, all officers, officials, staff and members of the Sandiksha (Wives Welfare Association of SSB 24 Bn) of the unit participated with enthusiasm and fervour. The statue of MaaDurga was brought to Sarba Dharma PrathanaSthal by carrying out a KailashYatra by Sandiksha Members (Wives Welfare Association of SSB) and SSB pipe band. This magnificent statue is made of the same white marble as the Taj Mahal.
MaaDurga's statue was placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the unit temple following all rites and rituals by the renowned priest of the famous Hanuman Mandir of Rangia, Vipin Chand Mishra, Madan Mishra and Uma Kant Mishra, aided by unit Dharma Gurus.
