Guwahati is the biggest city in the Northeastern part of the country and it is slowly growing as a transit point for several illegal activities. These include narcotic substances of different types and currencies, both real and fake. And the Guwahati Railway Station has become one of the key points on the map.

Previously the Railway Protection Force (RPF), during a search operation, seized 27 kg of cannabis at Kamakhya Railway station from a person. The person has been identified as one Nagao Chumi. According to RPF sources, Chumi allegedly brought it from Dimapur and planned to transport it outside Guwahati. Legal action was initiated against him.

Narcotics of various types, fake currencies and a huge consignment of cash recovered on Monday are some of the items that are seized by the authorities. But even after several recoveries and so many suspects being detained, these transports have not come to an end.
