GOLAGHAT: The guardians of the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya lodged a complaint to the Inspector of Schools, Golaghat on Friday regarding increase in fee structure of the school during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The guardians approached the Inspector of Schools, Samiran Bora with a complaint letter and sought intervention on the increase of fees by the school authority. In the complaint signed by Rituraj Baruah, Biswajyoti Bordoloi, Susmita Bhuyan, Bijit Bhuya, Mukul Bora, Polash Borbora, Ajit Bora and Suchen Sarmah, it was stated that as per government instructions and guidelines, private schools cannot increase their fees structure during the ongoing pandemic situation. But without caring about the government guidelines, the school authority increased the fees structure of the current academic session. The school authority took 50 per cent fees for the month of April only and for rest of the months they did not bother about the common people, stated the letter.
