MANGALDAI: With the participation of Darrang Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey as the External Evaluator in three Lower Primary Schools namely Kamarpara LP School, Debananda Satra LP School and Radha Govinda Barua LP School under Sipajhar Elementary Education Block on Thursday, the three day duration ‘Gunotsav’ phase III has begun in Darrang district from on Thursday. He also assessed the quality of standard of learning of the students and closely interacted with the students and the teachers. Environment and Forest Minister cum Guardian Minister Chandra Mohan Patowari also visited three schools namely Sipajhar HS & MP School, Mangaldai Town Boys LP School and Tengabari LP School as the External Evaluator.
On the first day, Gunotsav was held in altogether 412 schools out of the total of 1194 schools. The maximum number of students to be covered in the complete programme is recorded as 1,40, 274. On the next two days the schools to be covered in Gunotsav are 396 and 386 respectively.
According to the official data, out the total 1211 schools of the district, Gunotsav will cover altogether 1194 primary and secondary schools excluding 17 educational institutions where enrolment of student is zero. The maximum number of students to take part in the educational quality assessment mega event is stated to be 1,40,274 . In the first day the programme will be held in maximum of 412 schools while in the next two days the no of schools to be covered are 396 and 386 respectively .The authorities here has already appointed 508 external evaluators for impartial and correct evaluation of the academic quality and another 126 liaison officers for smooth conduct of the process. The rationalization of the teachers among all the schools except the respective head masters and the nodal teachers are also completed.
