GUWAHATI: In the vibrant state of Assam, meticulous preparations are underway for a momentous event graced by the esteemed presence of President Droupadi Murmu. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, a stalwart leader at the helm of the Assam government, is leaving no stone unturned as he orchestrates the arrangements ahead of the President's imminent visit.

Utilizing the official channels, the Chief Minister's Office in Assam, represented by CMO Assam, conveyed, "Prior to the upcoming visit of Hon'ble President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, to Diphu, HCM Dr @himantabiswa led a comprehensive meeting with top officials from various departments. The focus was on reviewing preparations, including critical aspects such as security, health facilities, and road communication. The HCM emphasized the need for seamless and secure arrangements to ensure a successful and safe presidential visit."

President Murmu is slated to grace the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival 2024 as the Chief Guest on January 17, 2024, in the picturesque locale of Taralangso, Diphu.

Scheduled to unfold from January 12 to January 19, 2024, at the Karbi People's Hall in Taralangso, Diphu, the festival stands as a beacon for the Karbi youth, offering a jubilant celebration of Assam's ancient indigenous culture.

This prestigious visit by President Murmu comes in response to a diplomatic invitation extended by Chief Minister Sarma. He personally invited her to partake in the 50th Karbi Youth Festival, expressing deep honor and anticipation that her august presence will elevate the cultural celebration to unprecedented heights.
