Guwahati: Brutal Assault in Maligaon Area Over Land Dispute

GUWAHATI: In a disturbing incident that unfolded late on a Friday night, a young individual identified as Dipjyoti Das fell victim to a brutal assault in the Maligaon Chariali area of Guwahati. The assault, carried out by two assailants, has left Das with severe injuries and has drawn attention due to its connection to a contentious land-related disagreement.

Reports from reliable sources indicate that the attackers, a man and his mother, allegedly targeted Dipjyoti Das. The root cause of this violent encounter is believed to be an ongoing conflict concerning land ownership between the two parties. While the individuals responsible for the assault have been named as Bhanuprabha Das and Pranab Jyoti Das, it remains uncertain whether there is a familial relation between the victim and the assailants.
