GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Quiz Fest (GQF) will be organised from April 7 to April 9 this year at the Gauhati Town Club. Organised since 2014, the Guwahati Quiz Fest is the largest quizzing festival in North East India, with the 2023 edition featuring six quizzes covering a range of topics and interests.
The school quiz will be held on April 7 from 10 am. The other five quizzes namely Leisure, Travel & Culture (LTC), Sports, Music, Movies, Television, India, and General, are open for all and will be held on April 8 and 9.
Students up to class 12 from the same school forming a team of two can participate in the school quiz. The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs 5000, while the runners-up and second runners-up will receive a cash prize of Rs 3000 and Rs 2000, respectively. Each participant will be required to carry an I-Card or a letter from the principal.
Teams for the other five open quizzes can have a maximum of three members. Winners, runners-up, and 2nd runners-up will be awarded cash prizes of 9000, 6000 & 3000 respectively.
Previously the Lakhimpur-Telahi-Kamalaboria (LTK College), in association with the Lakhimpur district administration, organized a seminar and a quiz competition on G-20 and Y-20 Summits. The seminar was inaugurated by Principal Dr Bubul Kumar Saikia, who delivered a lecture on the importance and significance of the G-20 Summit. The head of the Department of Political Science, Prafulla Nath took part in the event as a resource person. He delivered his lecture on the history of G-20 along with other organizations and their importance. Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assessment Cell of the college-cum-Head of the Department of English, Biju Kumar Sonowal attended the event as a guest of honour and delivered lectures on various aspects of G-20.
