GUWAHATI: In a tragic
incident a practicing doctor has allegedly kept his wife in an unconscious condition
for three months.
The incident took place at Bhupendranagar, Narengi.
According to reports, the doctor identified as Gajendra Chandra Nath used to inject her sleeping medicines to keep her wife unconscious.
Earlier in 2018, the doctor got married from Nagaon. After the marriage the wife of the husband get to know that his husband was earlier married twice.
When the wife has threatened to inform the matter to her in-laws, the doctor started giving her injections that keeps her asleep for three months.
"After 2018 I came to know about his two marriages. He got divorced from his first wife and a court case is going on with the second one. Three months ago, when I found related images on the laptop, I told him that I will inform my in-laws. Then he started giving me sleeping injections. This continued for over a year and he also did illegal abortions at home as he is a gynecologist," the wife alleged.
The accused doctor is posted in Ranathali Primary Health Centre of Nagaon district as a senior medical officer of gynecology.
Earlier in Kerala, a man of Kerala who kept her lover hidden in a single room for last 10 years without anyone's knowledge, got married legally on Wednesday. The man identified as Rahman and his lover is Sajitha. They knot the tie under Special Marriage Act at a local sub-registrar office.
After the wedding the local MLA identified as K Babu received the newlywed couple along with Sajitha's parents. However, the parents of Rahman was absent at the function as they were against the marriage.
Earlier in February 2010, Sajitha has reportedly gone missing after she went to visit one of her relative's house. After the incident, a missing dairy was also registered with police but police failed to trace her.
