Haflong Civil Hospital in Dima Hasao gets Kayakalp award again

HAFLONG: The Haflong Civil Hospital, Dima Hasao has yet again been awarded the first place in the category of District Hospitals. This honour includes a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, while a commendation award of Rs 1 lakh each has been given to the Langting Health Block under the Maibang CHC and the Gunjung Health Block under the Umrangso CHC.

The Urban Health Centre, Haflong has also secured the first place under the PHCs category winning an award money of Rs 2 lakh and a commendation award of Rs 50,000 each to Diyungmukh MPHC, Hajaidisa SHC, Mahur BPHC, the New Sangbar FWHC, the Toulpui FWSC, Hangrum FWSC, and Manderdisa FWSC. Praising the efforts of the district health team, Samuel Changsan, Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, said all credit must go to the entire team of Dima Hasao Health department. It has once again been proved that the Haflong Civil Hospital is the best district hospital in Assam, for the year 2021-22, he said. He also congratulated the hospitals at Langting and Gunjung for securing commendations in the CHCs and the SDCHs category of hospitals.

Talking to the media, the district hospital superintendent, Dr Kalpana Kemprai expressed her happiness at the success of the hospital and the sincerity of the entire health team, including the frontline health workers.
