HAFLONG: The Haflong Ethnic Fusion Amphitheatre at Haflong Lake was officially inaugurated by Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa on Saturday evening in the presence of chairperson of DHAC, Ranu Langthasa, and Executive Members.
Continuous downpour failed to dampen the spirit of the people. Music enthusiasts, music lovers, dignitaries, and musicians from across the region attended the inauguration. The programme began with a Dimasa traditional dance performance followed by traditional dance of different tribes which kept the audience spellbound. A series of performances by local musicians, who showcased their talent and creativity through their music, was the special attraction of the programme
Haflong Ethnic Fusion is not just a celebration of music but also a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the region. The event showcased the diversity of the region’s ethnic communities and their unique musical traditions. Ugen Namgyal Bhutia, a guest artiste from Gangtok UNB, showed his hip-hop prowess on stage.
