Hagrama Mohilary Chairperson Of BPF, Appealed Assam CM Sarma For CBI Probe Over Encounter Of 2 ULB Cadres

Hagrama Mohilary in his Facebook has written that an appeal to the CM of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for the interest of peace and tranquility of the Bodoland region to initiate a high-level probe through CBI over the recent encounter incident.

GUWAHATI: Hagrama Mohilary the chairperson of Bodoland People's Front (BPF) and former Chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has appealed to the chief minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to conduct a high-level probe through CBI over the recent encounter incident taken place between the Kokrajhar Police and allegedly 2 ULB cadres.

Hagrama Mohilary on his Facebook has written that an appeal to the CM of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for the interest of peace and tranquility of the Bodoland region to initiate a high-level probe through CBI over the recent encounter incident taken place between the Kokrajhar Police and allegedly 2 ULB cadres.

"Also an appeal to all the Quarters for upholding harmony and social integrity in the Bodoland region by abjuring any sort of violence", he wrote.

He also appealed that for the greater interest of peace and harmony in the Bodoland region, I put forward my appeal to the ULB Leadership, an allegedly newly formed outfit, to refrain from any violent activities for preventing any loss of life and public property.

Meanwhile, for a peaceful and cohesive environment, I also appeal to the ULB Leadership to restrain from any retaliatory activities or implanting bombs for killing of innocent lives which might further escalate the situation in Bodoland region.

Earlier, in what may be a new threat to the peace in the BTR region of Assam, a new militant outfit has been formed by some youths demanding a separate Bodo state. In a video, that has gone viral on social media, it is seen that a group of youths donning military camouflage and wearing black face cover resented against the Boro Peace Treaty signed among the Centre, the Assam government and former militant groups of the BTAD.
