Hardcore cadre of NDFB(S) nabbed along Indo-Bhutan Border

Kokrajhar: Based on source information, a Joint Operation was launched by Kokrajhar Police with Commando Bn. Staff ( Camp: Bishmuri PP ) and 12 Sikh LI Army in the intervening night of 22nd and 23rd September 2019 in Leopani Nala and Ultapani Nala areas along with Indo-Bhutan border. In the wee hours of 23rd September 2019, the Joint Operation team saw the suspected movement of one individual in the area. The Joint Operation team apprehended the individual after a chase and on spot interrogation, he was identified as Dipak Borgoyary (age-23yrs.), son of Tekla Borgoyary, VillageGwjwnpuri, P.S-Runikhata, District-Chirang, a hardcore cadre of 41st Batch of NDFB(S).

Following arms and ammunitions were recovered from his possession1. One 7.65mm Pistol 2. 05 (five) rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition.

He has been involved in extortion, recruitment of new cadres and other subversive activities of NDFB(S) in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts of BTAD.

A case is being registered and further investigation is going on.
