Helpline number launched to crackdown upon the sale of illicit liquor

Dibrugarh: In the wake of the hooch tragedy that consumed more than a 100 tea labourers’ lives, the district administration of Dibrugarh has released a helpline number -9435032186 - in order to reinforce its ongoing effort to crackdown upon the sale of illicit liquor as well as to ensure active public participation in the campaign. The public can either call the aforementioned number or send a WhatsApp message at any time, or drop a mail at dc-dibrugarh@nic.in in order to inform the administration in the event of the sale of such liquor going on in their locality. They can also give information about the manufacturing centres of such spurious liquor. Moreover, the public of the district can even use the mail id to convey to the administration any kind of complaint they have.
