Heroin seized, 1 held by Darrang Police

MANGALDAI: Darrang Police, in their continuing operation against anti-social elements, on Monday recovered suspected heroine and arrested one youth from Dalgaon. Following a tip-off from Superintendent of Police Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ) Rupam Phukan and Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Pranjal Bora conducted a search operation in the house of Azad Ali (27), son of Kasem Ali of village Simaluguri under Dalgaon Police Station, and recovered suspected heroine kept in five containers from his possession. The accused has been arrested as per the provisions of the NDPS Act.
