Top Level Bureaucratic & Assam Police Transfers & Posting of Himanta Biswa Government

Assam Bureaucratic & Police Transfers & Posting: Within days of taking charge as Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma-led NDA government has made several changes at the bureaucratic level, particularly in the office of the Chief Minister. IAS officer Ghanshyam Das has been made the Secretary to CM, ACS officer Deba Prasad Misra has been named principal private secretary to CM and ACS officer Simanta Kumar Das is now the Joint Secretary to CM. IAS officer Samir Sinha was appointed as Principal Secretary to CM on May 10, the same day when CM Sarma was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Assam. [Check: New Transfers & Posting in Assam Police]

Hemen Das, IAS, has been appointed as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Dept. He is 2009 batch officer. He was serving as Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Devp and Science & Tech and Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Devp and CEO, Biotech Technology Council and Guwahati Biotech Park.

Bureaucratic Transfers in Assam

1. Samir Sinha, IAS appointed as Principal Secretary to CM. He is 1994 batch, Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer. Served as DC, Kamrup & Tinsukia. Served as Adviser to Executive Director, ADB, Manila. Principal Secretary, Dept of Health & Family Welfare among others
2. Ghanashyam Das, IAS appointed as Secretary to CM. He is 2012 batch IAS officer, Assam-Meghalaya cadre. Served as Secretary, Agriculture Dept, Commissioner Labour and Guwahati Municipal Corporation and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Goalpara and Darrang among others.
3. Deba Prasad Misra, ACS appointed as Principal Private Secretary to CM. He is 1992 batch ACS officer. Served as Joint Secretary, Tourism Dept & MD, ATDC, DC, Majuli, Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Addl Secretary, GAD and Director, Employment & Craftsmen Training among others
4. Simanta Kumar Das, ACS appointed as Joint Secretary to CM. He is 1995 batch ACS officer. Served as Tinsukia District Development Commissioner and Secretary, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC)
5. Hemen Das, IAS, appointed as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Dept. He is 2009 batch officer. Served as Secretary, Panchayat & Rural Devp and Science & Tech and Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Devp and CEO, Biotech Technology Council and Guwahati Biotech Park
