Huge cache of illegal sal logs seized in Gossaigaon

Gossaigaon: The forest department along with the Anti-Corruption and Crime Investigation front, Bodoland Protection Society launched an operation in various places under the Kachugaon Forest Division and seized a huge cache of illegal sal wood amounting to more than Rs 20 lakh from two different places.

Sources stated that acting on internal input, the team recovered illegal Sal logs worth Rs 8 lakh from Kasibari village and worth Rs 12 lakh from Rupnathpur village on Friday night. The recovered logs were brought to the Kachugaon Forest Division at Gossaigaon.
