Human Trafficking Gang busted in Hailakandi, Four Arrested

Guwahati: Based on the information, a gang of human traffickers was busted at Hathat Colony in Hailankandi.

As per police reports, information was received at Hailakandi PS regarding the attempt of procuring an adult girl by a gang of Human trafficking at Hathat Colony, Ward NO 7, PS Hailakandi. On receipt of the information, the OC & TASI Hailakandi PS launched an operation and successfully recovered the victim girl.

The three male accused persons namely:

1) Puspander Singh, 28 years, S/O Lt- Ratiram of Chhilro, PS- Nagal Choudhury, Dist- Mahendragarh, Haryana-123001

2) Rinku Choudhury ,27 years, S/O- Lilaram of Gadarwas-Dalnawas, P.S- Satnail, District: Mahendragarh, Haryana-123024

3) Surendra Choudhury, 37 Years, S/0- Mahaveer Prasad of Bhirr, PS- Bhona, Dist.- Jhunjunu, Rajasthan-333515, including one women, viz; Shivani Malakar, w/o- Sagar Malakar, ward no-14, PS- Hailakandi have been arrested so far who were found to be involved in the said trafficking attempt.

A case vide Hailakandi PS case no- 125/20, under section 370/511/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered in this regard and further investigation is on to nab the brother of the victim namely Chiranjeet Malakar, s/o- late Cittaranjan Malakar of Hatath Colony Ward No. 7, PS Hailakandi and his friend Sagar Malakar s/o- Mani Malakar of ward no 14, PS Hailakandi who are behind this attempted human trafficking.
