Hundreds throng Shivratri Mela in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar, the ancient Ahom capital town, became a sea of humanity on Saturday as devotees from various parts of the country thronged to take part in the third day’s programme of the ongoing 3rd International Shiva Mahotsav and Maha Shivratri.

Several cultural troupes from all over the State as well as from Nepal and Bhutan are exhibiting their ethnic art forms during the festival. The four-day-long festival started from February 20. People are participating in large numbers for the cultural extravaganza associated with the festival.
