IAS Sumit Sattawan assumes charge as new Lakhimpur DC

LAKHIMPUR: Sumit Sattawan, IAS (RR-2015), joined and assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur district on Thursday. Notably, prior to it, Sumit Sattawan served as the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Settlement Officer of Cachar and he was recently transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur.

After taking charge, the new Deputy Commissioner took stock of the overall situation of the district from the officers of the district administration. Then he held COVID-19 review meeting and flood review meeting regarding the preparedness for the upcoming flood season. In the meetings concerned, District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Joint Director of Health Services and other health officers and staff were present.
