“Ideate 2023”, A Start-Up Mini Cohort Organized By IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation, Celebrates Closing Ceremony

GUWAHATI: Ideate 2023, the prestigious start-up mini cohort organized by IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation and powered by IDFC First Bank, successfully concluded its closing ceremony on 5th August held at Research Building, IIT Guwahati. The event marked the culmination of a transformative journey for 22 innovative start-ups, who showcased their groundbreaking ideas, with three exceptional ventures emerging as winners in the Idea, POC, and MVP stages.

The champions of Ideate 2023 in their specific categories are as follows: Idea Stage Winner: Agrijod, pioneering an aggregator for Agricultural inputs in Northeast India, POC Stage Winner: Pekhansa, which aims to deliver hygienic and customise variants of panipuri by automizing the concept of delivering it through a Panipuri vending machine and MVP Stage Winner: Drone Tech, lauded for their groundbreaking drone technology developed for the Indian Army.

The vibrant event was graced by prominent personalities from the startup ecosystem in Guwahati, who lent their valuable insights and encouragement to the participants. Mr. Satyam Sarma, Operating Officer of IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation, brilliantly moderated the proceedings, while the event was chaired by the esteemed Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy, Vice Chairperson IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation.

The presence of distinguished guests Mr. Samir Baruah Banking Expert and Mrs. Gitima Das Krishna from Invest India, Mr. Sunit Jain from G- Plus Media, Mr. Chaitanya Subhnaam from IDFC First Bank, Mr. Jitesh Choudhury, Director-DAC- GOI added to the grandeur of the event. Their support and encouragement inspired the participating startups to reach new heights in their entrepreneurial journey.

Ideate 2023 also offered an unparalleled learning opportunity for the start-ups through the mentorship provided by eminent figures in the startup ecosystem. Mr. Nabaneet Borah, Mrs. Neeti Agarwal, Mr. NN Dutta, Mr.Rajeev Goswami, Mr. Supratik Roy, Dr. Swapnil Sinha, and Mr. Arijit Sarma generously shared their wisdom and expertise with the budding entrepreneurs, guiding them to scale up their businesses effectively.

During the event Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy, Vice Chairperson IIT Guwahati Research Park Foundation said , “ we are very enthusiastic about organizing Ideate 23 and adding value to the budding innovators and entrepreneurs while presenting the wonderful startup R& D Infrastructure set-up at IIT Guwahati Research Park”.
