Illegal cough syrup seized, two held in Bongaigaon district

BONGAIGAON: Following information, Bongaigaon district police seized a huge cache of illegal cough syrup and arrested three drug dealers from Kabaitari area under Jogighopa PS of Bongaigaon district.

Talking to press, Swapnaneel Deka, Bongaigaon Superintendent of Police, said that police conducted a raid in the house-cum-shop of Rejaul Islam, a resident of Kabaitari. "We seized total 74 bottles of DASLIN CD+ (cough syrup). Also, we arrested two persons, namely Rejaul Islam and Abdus Salam, who were involved in this crime. One more boy was taken into custody but he is a minor so he was sent to juvenile custody on Saturday. We are investigating and hope to nab few more within a short time," Deka said.
