BAKSA: Following specific information that two unknown persons (suspected hunters) were moving in the area of Barnadi Wildlife Sanctuary along the Indo-Bhutan border carrying illegal arms in between Border Pillar No.247 to 248, an action team of 24 Bn of SSB Rangia, led by Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant of 24 Bn of SSB Rangia, along with forest officials of Kumarikata Forest Range Office, launched an operation along the Indo-Bhutan Border in Baksa. When the miscreants saw SSB troops at No. 1 Dangargaon along the Khandajan River near BP No. 248, they threw the arms and escaped towards the Bhutan side. The troops of SSB recovered one country-made gun and handed it over to Forest Range Office Kumarikata for further course of action.
