Illegal foreign liquor seized by Sonari Police

Joysagar: The Sonari Police of Charaideo district has seized as many as 160 cartons of illegal foreign liquor on Friday in the Charaidew-Kanubari road during their regular checking. Sources informed that the illegal liquors were transporting secretly from Aurnachal by a minivan and the Sonari Police have detained the transporter identified as one Bikash Gogoi of Miripathar gaon of Sonari. Sources informed that accused Bikash was an illegal liquor trader and he allegedly brought liquor from nearby State Aurnavhal without paying excise revenue and interstate transportation taxes. A case has also been registered in this connection in the Sonari PS.
